Successful candidates will be invited to attend weekly rehearsals beginning February 2025.
The Peak Sinfonia of Hong Kong (PSHK) programme begins in February 2025.
Weekly rehearsals will encompass a mix of orchestral playing, sectionals and sessions tailored specifically to foster musicianship and musical understanding, teamwork, and ensemble skills. Rehearsals will be directed by PSHK faculty and guest conductors. There will be project work with visiting professors from the RNCM, and specialist coaching from orchestral experts.
Students will benefit from masterclasses, online consultation lessons and feedback from the RNCM. Parents and students will also have the opportunity to participate in sessions focusing on student life and academic pursuits at the Royal Northern College of Music .
In 2026 the Sinfonia will tour to the UK with performances in London and Manchester.
Students who successfully graduate each year will be awarded a certificate of achievement and a reference which may enhance their college or university applications.
Rehearsals and Performances
Rehearsals are on Sundays 9.30 – 12.30pm
Each term our rehearsals will lead towards a public performance.
